What's New
Grandparents' Day
Looking for something new to do for your grandparents’ day celebration at school? Schools like Daniel Boone Elementary in New Melle, Missouri, have started reading my book, Grandma U, to students and their very special guests. To complete the celebration, you can serve an assortment of cookies as found in the book – including the main character’s store-bought sandwich cookies! Grandma U is available at bookstores, online booksellers, and through Peachtree Publishers at peachtree-online.com.
One of "The Best Children's Books of the Year
The Children’s Book Committee has named What Do Parents Do? (When You’re Not Home) one of “The Best Children’s Books of the Year.” The Children’s Book Committee was founded almost 100 years ago to help parents, teachers and librarians choose the books that children will find “captivating
and transforming.”
Each year, the committee reviews over 4000 titles, then chooses the best 600 books, both fiction and nonfiction, which it lists according to age and category in its publication, The Best Children's Books of the Year. The non-profit review committee includes educators, librarians, authors, parents and psychologists, as well as young reviewers ages 2-18 from all around the country. For more information on the committee and its publications, visit www.bnkst.edu/bookcom.
